A clean and tidy house

I have a fridge magnet that says: Boring Women have immaculate homes.  I don't actually believe this, I think that some people can tolerate more mess than others.  I don't like mess but I don't like housework. Normally this is OK because we're happy to pay for a cleaner.  Unfortunately our cleaner isn't coming in January, so we will have to rely on the children (they've got to do something!).  Yesterday we came home to a sink full of dirty dishes and unfolded clothes.  I will admit that I was slightly annoyed about this and expressed my annoyance loudly.  Today we came home to a clean sink and piles of folded clothes.  I'm grateful that my children took my rant on board and did some work around the house.  Samantha even took a photo of Natasha cleaning the range-hood (I guess, so we know that it was cleaned!).  It was much nicer to come home to a tidy house.  Good work girls!!!
