Balancing the books

Today I need to be fairly quick.  I am desperately trying to finish off the Canteen books before they go to the auditor.  I have been managing the accounts for the Canteen since March this year.  And it's not a particularly difficult job, but it needs to be in order before tomorrow.  Anyway, I was commenting to Ian, who is sitting next to me, how weird it was that my blog seems to have so many hits from Russia.  He tells me that, apparently, people in Russia are combing these sites to determine the financial status and situation of people who have blogs.  Then they can target an email to scam them out of money.  Seems a pretty desperate thing to do really!  So I'm grateful that I have not been scammed out of money through dodgy email pleas.  I'm grateful that I have a degree of common sense to be able to 'balance the books' in my own life - and the Canteen!!!
