Revelation 21 is a lovely chapter of the Bible. "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth", "and I heard a loud voice saying", "He will wipe away every tear, death shall be no more", "All things new". Every time I read the words, I start to sing the lovely song based on this verse by Robin Mann set to the music from Robert Schumann ([Von Fremden und Leuten] Of foreign places and people from Scenes of Childhood). It gives me goose bumps!
The reason I mention this is that I was thinking about this verse and song when I was looking at the photos I took while walking between Pine Island and Point Hut, along the Murrumbidgee River. It's a great walk and so beautiful - in a typical Australian landscape. I'm grateful for the reminder that "God himself is here" and that "All things are new".
